HCS’s Expansion Plans

HCS, an IT services provider based in Waterford, has unveiled ambitious plans to bolster its workforce by adding 15 jobs. The company anticipates a substantial increase in revenues, amounting to €2.5 million, within the next two years. This expansion is attributed to HCS’s recent deepened collaboration with the global cybersecurity giant, Fortinet.

Enhanced Partnership with Fortinet

As a Fortinet expert partner, HCS is positioned to offer specialized cybersecurity services to its clientele. These services encompass professional and managed solutions, covering vital areas such as firewalls, cloud security, and network security. Furthermore, the partnership will introduce endpoint detection and response capabilities to HCS’s existing portfolio of managed services.

Diversification of Clientele

HCS foresees an expansion of its customer base, extending its reach into the financial and government sectors, thanks to its fortified collaboration with Fortinet. This partnership not only broadens its customer horizons but also grants HCS increased access to essential cybersecurity skills and resources.

Job Creation

In anticipation of heightened demand for their new services, HCS is gearing up to create 15 new positions across its security managed and professional services team. This move not only supports the company’s growth but also contributes to local employment opportunities.

Dan Hegarty, HCS Head of Sales, on the Partnership

HCS’s Head of Sales, Dan Hegarty, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “It cements our position in the security solutions and services marketplace and will enable us to provide an enhanced offering to our customers.” He also noted the evolving security needs of customers, driven by standards like the Public Sector Cybersecurity Baseline Standards and requirements imposed by cybersecurity insurance companies.

Fortinet’s Perspective

Paul Donegan, Fortinet’s Country Manager, commended HCS for reaching this elevated partnership status, highlighting their cybersecurity expertise and innovative approach to delivering Fortinet security solutions. This collaboration places HCS among a select group of Irish companies with such a distinguished partnership.

Impressive Revenue Growth

HCS demonstrated remarkable financial growth, with revenues reaching €5.2 million for the fiscal year ending in March 2022. This marked a substantial 26% increase compared to the previous financial year.

Previous Expansion and Acquisition

In the previous year, HCS unveiled plans to invest €3.2 million in doubling its workforce, aiming to employ 60 individuals. Additionally, the company expanded its reach by acquiring Fixaphone, a supplier of business telephone systems in the South East.

HCS’s Presence

Apart from its headquarters in Waterford, HCS maintains bases in Dublin and Cork, further solidifying its presence across key regions in Ireland.
